The reason why I MOVE...
You might be asking why I join MOVE events - Step Up Against Pneumonia. It is because, we had someone from our family (my nephew) who is a victim of IPD (Invasive Pneumococcal Disease) and is now suffering from its complication (Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis E). He was just 3months when had pneumonia, then had german measles after a fews days while still in the Hospital. I remembered that we had to do the baptism inside his room, because we've been moving the baptism many times so my sister decided to push thru with it.
My nephew is as young as my daughter (Micaela), they were playmates, they were classmates in Pre-School, they play internet games together, they even danced during Mayca's 6th Birthday - the last dance he did with his cousins, but he did not finish Grade 1 - that is when his body started to deteriorate (physically and mentally). We witnessed how fast he changes, forgetting our names, nadadapa, nabubulol and now he cant speak and even sit on his own. This is really painful especially for my sister. It took us time to find out what the disease is, and how will it be cured.
If there was IPD vaccine available 10 years ago, we could have prevented the disease that my nephew got, an incurable disease :(
That's why I MOVE - and will continue to MOVE to help spread awareness how serious the disease is and it is preventable by a vaccine.

One Saturday fun-filled with Education and Passions!
Last March 19, I was very fortunate to witness two exciting activities - The Bannister Academy Open House and Two Serendra's Passions Fest.
To start with, I attended the talk of the 3 prominent people - the 2 I know personally - RJ Ledesma - Entrepreneur, Events host, TV Personality, and the Royal Tru-Orange kid:) who talked about Entrepreneurship; Janette Toral - Digital Filipino author, Online personality who talked about Social Media. And lastly , Atty. Barrios talked aboutServing the Philippines Through your own ways.
let me show you some of the pictures of the School:)
Bannister Academy is operated by Raymond and Jane Villanueva. The school is about Social Intelligence. Look at the stairs, they encourage kids to do well academically but also do good as a person.
The vases artwork were made by the students and are displayed in the lobby area of the school.
Bannister Academy is located at Circulo Verde, Calle Industria, Bgy. Bagumbayan, Quezon City - visit their website (http://www.bannister.edu.ph) or call (02) 975-9625 || MOBILE (0917) 7110100

The EDSA 1 revolution 25 years ago
I was 9 years old when the EDSA revolution happened 25 years ago. Honestly, our family was PRO-Marcos because our family belong to Ilocanos clan. Our family believed that he is intelligent, willing to uplift the lives of the Filipinos. I would heard my mom saying that Imelda was one of the major cause of downfall of Marcos leadership. I still remember the time when Manila Film Center were rushed to be built and a lot of construction workers died and were buried because digging them up from the rubbles will delay the construction which will affect the "bonggang" launch event. Imelda was the PR side of Marcos regime, she should invite a lot of prominent people, investors and ministries to visit the Philippines and attend her events.
Maybe, it was not just Marcos who were greedy that time..Maybe he was not that bad.I remember our dollar exchange rate 1USD = Php8..I think his cabinet members were abusive too. I dont know, I was just 9 years old then...
let's revisit the story of EDSA...

I was also ssssoooow surprised when I was awarded as best dress during the event. Honestly, I was really not prepared. I borrowed a hat from the office and it just happened that my poncho matched the hat... how lucky me :)... here's what I wore earlier..
And of course, there's a prize for lucky me... a World Traveller overnight bag!
Can you guess what's inside?
Kraft goodies!!!! yey!

My Job, My Career
I'm a social pr practitioner..that's it. I never imagined that this is the career for me. When I was younger, gusto ko maging doctor (yeah, you heard it right, i wanted to be a doctor). but when I reached highschool, I changed my mind, said I want to be an artist/painter. So I took a test in UST and had my examinations and actual drawing. But I was not lucky then, the department said , mas mabuti ako sa masscom - my 2nd choice - so I take that as I failed the drawing test:(..
After that, I decided, I will take Marketing or Advertising to make use of my creativity - kung di ako mahusay sa drawing, at least sa strat/concept - babawi ako.
I took tests from a lot of Universities - Miriam, Holy Spirit, CE, La Salle, St. Scho, St. Paul Manila - then I chose St. Paul. I made a very good decision at this school (i think:) a lot I learned from my part time professors (they work in Pepsi, Nestle, SGV, Unilever and others). di ko na ikwento ha kung bakit ako lumipat sa Letran - (sneak: had to transfer to another school after giving birth to my first daughter..yun na)
The pr agency I am connected to right now is the 2nd "serious" job that I have. Mind you, Social Marketing is not easy, it's very challenging but it changed the way I see and approach life. I believe I can do more, I can do great things..and I can do well. and that's why I'm sharing 2 photos as "PROOF"...It's almost lunchtime and I have to finish 2 media plans and then I saw these photos..and I want to share it, simple things can really make you feel great...
to give you a background:
